Brooklyn Bridge Park [Dumbo]

Even with all the traffic of people it's still a relaxing place.
I know it's a very cliche location to do shoots at but believe it or not this was my first time shooting here and I absolutely fell in-love! I've been living in New York all my life and not once have I even drove by Dumbo Lol #dontjudgeme. I will be posting up the engagement shoot in a few days :)

Since 09 [Taken with iPhone4 Instagram App]

I took this picture of my son during an engagement session I was shooting in Dumbo, Brooklyn. He was in his own world as if he was a grown man contemplating his next move on life. I'm definitely taking my friend Christopher Villa's advice and blowing this bad boy up :)

Let's start blogging!

Let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Vincent Dones but I prefer to be called by my nickname; Vinny. I've always been a very ambitious person since a young age. Hard working and wanting to pursue every career out there. From studying to become a Network Administrator, to a Personal Trainer, to opening up a supermarket, etc..the list goes on! My main goal was to always be successful so I was always driven by the people around me who choice those careers which motivated me to accomplish them. Only problem was I never stuck to one career path [haha] I laugh now because I found my passion but juggling through careers in the past was a bit overwhelming.

As time went by I was inspired by a great photographer Rotten Ronin who took these unbelievable shots with just an iPhone and even better with a Digital camera. I reached out to him through Facebook from seeing some of his previous shoots he took of good friend of mine. He was kind enough to give me tips and ideas on how to start off.

So I bought my first Digital camera. I went into this life of photography as a hobby from just taking pictures of friends and family. My work got acknowledged and one day to the next I got a call from a friend of the family; Natalia Rodriguez who offered me my first paid gig :)

Since then I've been shooting non-stop and realized that this is my talent! A passion that I never knew I had.

[2yrs later] I' am now a Full-Time Professional Photographer from New York

WELCOME TO MY WORLD!
